General Information

Academic programs at the College emphasize the development of critical thinking, social conscience, and ethical standards essential for all health care professionals. Our curriculum emphasizes interdisciplinary education in professional development, research and service delivery focused on community needs. Innovative models of interdisciplinary education are designed and implemented.

The faculty is committed to community-based service and research in the allied health disciplines. Clinical services are offered to the general public and professional consultation services are offered to hospitals, laboratories, health services organizations and health care provider organizations. Continuing education and specialized training in which professionals from the United States and Europe occasionally participate are offered to practicing health professionals from Puerto Rico and throughout Latin America. Through these activities, the college promotes and coordinates interaction between numerous educational and health agencies at the local, national and international levels.
