About Blackboard:

Blackboard is a web-based course management system that allows instructional materials to be easily delivered via the Web. It includes threaded discussions, file sharing, e-mail, chat, gradebook and other tools.

How to setting up an online Blackboard course site:

Any instructor may obtain a Blackboard user account and course site(s) by
attending a 12 hour Blackboard Workshop. You may verify the online calendar on the training section for the next Blackboard Workshop, or call (787) 758-2525 Ext. 4100 or 4324 for more information.

Workshop Fees:

The training includes 4 half-days workshop describing all the Blackboard tools. The faculty receive the Instructor manual, a CD-ROM with exercises, certificate of participation, and one year support for building and teaching online using the blackboard platform system. Workshop Fee is $250 per faculty. The maintenance fee for a course after the first year is $100 per year.
