What is Blackboard?

Blackboard is a web-based course management system that allows instructional materials to be easily delivered via the Web. It includes threaded discussions, file sharing, e-mail, chat, gradebook and other tools. You must be registered on a course in order to get a Username and Password to access Blackboard system.

Blackboard for Students:

I.      HOW TO LOGIN:

a.      Go to http://cprsweb.rcm.upr.edu:8080

b.      Click the Login button

c.      Enter your Username and Password

II.     STUDENT'S GUIDE TO BLACKBOARD:

           OIRE has put together a Student's Guide to Blackboard which contains information on finding your courses, using the various tools, updating personal information, and much more! This guide can be viewed by clicking here.

Blackboard Computer Minimum Requirements:

Minimum Computer Requirements:

  • 512MB RAM of memory (more preferred)
  • Windows XP or higher
  • Macintosh System OS10.x or higher
  • A local printer

Important: Don't forget update your windows operating system
 

Recommended Applications:

For applications, you need the latest web browsers and any necessary helper applications to view the files.
